Formula One test drive incentive for young Australian racers

The man who gave Mark Webber his start in Formula One has today offered Australia's latest rising stars in international motor racing the ultimate incentive.
Paul Stoddart, the expatriate Australian businessman who owns the Minardi F1 team, has pledged to give Formula Three drivers Will Davison and Will Power a test in a Minardi next year.

A superb podium finish has been the perfect way to end the 2003 British Formula 3 Championship season for 21-year-old Australian Will Davison.
Davison, driving a Dallara chassis with an Opel-Spiess engine for Menu Motorsport, finished second and seventh in the final two rounds of the highly-competitive championship on the Brands Hatch grand Prix circuit in England overnight.
Will Power recovers after massive Brands shunt

The final round of the British Formula 3 round at Brands Hatch was damaging for Will Power when he crashed his Dallara at Hawthorne's Bend in first qualifying.
During the last 15 minutes of the qualifying session the track was drying out quickly from an overnight downpour and Will was pushing for a strong result when he understeered off the track and went into the wall backwards.

Davison narrowly misses podium at Donington

Australian Will Davison has narrowly missed a podium finish in the latest rounds of the British Formula 3 Championship at Donington.
The 21-year-old scored a fourth and a seventh in the two races on the weekend, two fantastic results considering the Menu Motorsport driver started from a lowly grid position in each.
Davison joins Menu Motorsport for remainder of 2003

Australian international racer Will Davison has changed teams for the remainder of the 2003 British Formula 3 Championship and joined highly-successful squad, Menu Motorsport.
The 21-year-old debuted in his new Dallara/Opel-Spiess mount at the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium on the weekend, after racing in the early part of the season for expat Aussie Alan Docking’s team.

I have just arrived back from the Rockingham Formula 3 meeting and have had a very interesting weekend.
I was lucky enough to have been to Rockingham on a previous test day and I benefitted from this track time. It helps to not start the weekend with an unknown.
Norisring: More progress with a top ten finish

The straights are long and up to five lanes wide, turning into sweepers that close down to hairpin bends. This track rewards drivers who can take the car very deep into the braking area and still get the power down for a quick exit, but the real drama is through the esses.
