Biante Model Cars have come on board as a key supporter of the CAMS Rising Star Program for the 2008 season. Whilst the sponsorship deal has been executed between Borland Racing Developments and Biante Model Cars, both organisations agreed that the financial support should be directed into the CAMS Rising Star Program to support this year's impressive crop of up-and-coming stars.
Borland Racing Developments (BRD), contracted by the AMSF to supply technical and racing services to the Program, were instrumental in achieving this outcome and it serves to reinforce the strong relationship that exists between the two organisations.
"This is a brilliant outcome and we are thrilled to have Biante Model Cars involved in the CAMS Rising Star Program," said AMSF General Manager, Quentin Crombie.
"We are also very grateful to Borland Racing Developments who continue to demonstrate their commitment to the Program."
The CAMS Rising Star Spectrums will sport a new livery in 2008, with a striking combination of red and silver and the Biante Model Cars logo proudly linking the three partners in their unified quest for a successful racing season.
"It is outstanding to have the support of Biante Model Cars for our factory race team and the CAMS Rising Star program," said Paul Zsidy, Borland Racing Developments Sales & Marketing Manager.
"Biante Model Cars are synonymous with motor racing in Australia, with a range of quality racing and road models that is second to none. We are proud to be associated with a company of such integrity and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship. We are also delighted that Biante was so keen to support such an important initiative as the CAMS Rising Star Program," concluded Zsidy.
The deal is timely, as the 2008 Australian Formula Ford Championship kicks off this weekend at Eastern Creek, with arguably one of the most impressive fields in recent times and many drivers back for their second and third seasons at national level.
2008 CAMS Rising Stars Scott Pye, Daniel Erickson and Jake Chapman, all of whom are rookies at national level, are extremely excited about the challenge ahead. Although the goal will be to win races in 2008, the focus will remain on building a solid platform to enable all three drivers to transition to international competition in 2009.
The CAMS Rising Star Program would not be possible without the support of our key partners which include the Australian Sports Commission, Biante Model Cars, Borland Racing Developments, Robert Bosch (Australia), the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport, the Australian Motor Sport Foundation, OAMPS Insurance Brokers, Mark Webber, Stand 21 Australia, Just Magazine Group, Fleetwood Print Group and McBadges.
