2012 Nomination period extended until end of November 2011!
The International Rising Star nominees are vying for financial assistance to compete in motorsport categories in any country other than Australia. All motorsport disciplines with four wheels will be considered and a maximum of four drivers will receive assistance in 2012.

The selection process for International nominees will be as follows: (Indicative timeframes are shown in brackets)
1. Nominations open (August – October) *NOW EXTENDED TO END OF NOVEMBER 2011!*
2. The AMSF will create a short list of nominees (December)
3. The Advisory Panel will conduct a detailed assessment of short-listed nominees from which a score will be derived (December)
4. Successful nominees will then be interviewed by an AMSF panel (January)
5. The Selection Panel will select a final group of drivers to receive AMSF funding (January)
6. In order to finalise selection, each driver will be required to sign a driver agreement and a future earnings agreement prepared by the AMSF (January).
All decisions made by the AMSF are final and no discussions will be entered into. All nominations are assessed using an assessment model which ranks nominees on past performances, media skills and fitness levels.
