The AMSF Rookie Rising Star Program was established in 2011 to ensure talented young Australian drivers have every opportunity to learn all aspects of motor racing and to give them the very best preparation for a successful promotion to the National Formula Ford Championship.

Two drivers will be selected for the 2012 Program.

AMSF Rookie Rising Star Objectives

The key objectives of the CAMS Rising Star program are as follows:
•    To provide a structure to facilitate the rapid development of racing drivers from  karting or Club Racing categories to State level open wheel racing (Formula Ford)
•    To work with the Australian Motor Sport Foundation Ltd (AMSF) to provide a structure to facilitate the rapid development of racing drivers from State level open wheel racing to the National Formula Ford Championship
•    To increase participation in motor sport through clearly defined and supported progressional pathways.

2012 AMSF Rookie Rising Star Program – State Formula Ford Competition

National level CAMS Rising Star Program nominees will be selected to participate in the 2012 CAMS Victorian Formula Ford Championship and will receive the following Program benefits:
 
•    A partially subsidised state racing and testing program
•    Attendance at the 2011 AMSF Motorsport Camp to be held at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra
•    Attendance at two (2) AMSF Fitness Camps to be held on the Gold Coast, QLD. These camps are run by Formula 1™ and V8 Supercar fitness trainers Phil Young and Glenn Lindsay
•    The provision of other support services during 2011 including the allocation of a suitable business mentor
•    Ongoing access to AMSF sports psychologist Dr Noel Blundell
•    A CAMS circuit racing competition licence
•    Membership to the Australian Formula Ford Association
•    All AMSF Rookie Rising Star apparel and race suit
