Office of Communities - Sport and Recreation - NSW
Sport and Recreation is part of the Office of Communities , a division of the NSW Department of Education and Communities. Their purpose is to assist the people of NSW participate in sport and recreation, and their vision is of a community that uses sport and recreation to improve its well being.
NSW Sports Federation
The NSW Sports Federation advocates for sport at every opportunity and in a range of mediums. The CEO represents the NSW sports industry through a range of committees and forums.
As part of the Australian State Sports Federation Alliance (ASSFA), the NSW Sports Federation also advocates our state sporting issues at a national level, and represents sport to Ministers and appointed panels such as the Independent Sport Panel.
Additionally, the NSW Sports Federation works with the media to increase the attention and recognition that sport is receiving, particularly at the grass roots level.
