Honours and Awards

CAMS gives honours to recognise those people in the community whose service and contributions have made a significant difference to CAMS and motor sport.

The CAMS honours and awards system recognises the actions and achievements of people who go above and beyond what could be reasonably expected, and in doing so, encourages aspirations and ideals of the highest standards and values within our sport. 

President of Honour

In 1994, CAMS created the position of "President of Honour" and conferred it upon its longest serving President, (The Late) John Large after his retirement from that position (1994 - 2006).

Chairman of Honour

In 1968, CAMS created the position of "Chairman of Honour" and conferred it upon the first independent Presdent, (The Late) Owen Grahame after his retirement from the position (1963 - 1968).
