Social Event Pack
CAMS has adjusted the permitting requirements for social/non-competition events as detailed below. If you club is planning an activity or event, a permit or event notification may be required to be properly covered by CAMS public liability insurance.
The following club activity types DO NOT require a permit or notification to CAMS:
• Club meetings and club committee meetings
• Working bees and the like
• Social gatherings and fund raising activities
• Static driver training (just theory no cars in motion) or official training activities
Note: For peace of mind, you can use the Notification to CAMS email process detailed below to advise CAMS of any club activity that you want CAMS to be aware of.
The following club activities require NOTIFICATION TO CAMS via email to notification@cams.com.au
• Club show and shine / Display Days / Concours
• Social club runs / Picnic runs / Night runs
• Swap meets
Note: All these activities involve members and trial members only – no general public allowed.
Please provide the following information in your NOTIFICATION TO CAMS email:
• Club name and CAMS club number
• Applicant’s name and position within club
• Contact number and Email address
• Type of event, Event details and Date(s) of event
The following club activities REQUIRE A CAMS PERMIT:
• General public attendance / advertising for the events listed in the notification section above
• Car Boot Sales, Garage Sales
• Charity Runs, Mobile Displays
• Garage or Workshop events
A Certificate of Insurance with a named interested party can be requested for a standard fee of $55.00 applies
