Nick Foster to compete in the 2012 Carrera Cup

Former Formula Ford front runner Nick Foster will get behind the wheel of a Porsche GT3 Cup Type 997 this year for the City Index Carrera Cup Championship. Foster finished third in the 2011 Formula Ford championship and after a strong one-off drive at the season ending Sydney Telstra 500, has earned himself a seat in the Carrera Cup for 2012.

The Queenslander has yet to confirm which team will prepare his car, however he was pleased to announce his plans for 2012.

“I’m looking forward to a big year. I went to Sydney with no expectation and ended up having a ball.”

“My personal goal is to stick it at the pointy end, every weekend. I want to be at the front. I just want to make sure it all comes together nicely and make sure I get a solid year under my belt.”

The City Index Carrera Cup gets under way on the streets of Adelaide at the Clipsal 500.
