Contractors Information Database
CAMS, event organisers and contractors have a joint legal responsibility to ensure all events comply with ‘workplace’ OH&S legislation and Duty of Care obligations to provide a safe environment for everyone at motor sport events.
To assist in the facilitation of these obligations and duties event organisers are currently using a documented process (CAMS Safety 1st Checklist) whereby which each event is required to ask contractor’s for documentation and information which provides proof of the contractors commitment to health and safety.
CAMS has dedicated this area of the CAMS Website to provide motor sport contractors with a central location to store their OH&S documentation so that event organisers may access that documentation without undue imposition on the contractor.
Contractor’s safety policies should be based on a firm commitment to provide all persons with a structured environment, which when followed results in minimal risks to health, and welfare of employees, volunteers, competitors and the public.
