Travel Scholarships
AMSF Travel Scholarships exist to support Adelaide medical students entering their final year of study in their international or interstate elective placements.
Preference is given to students who demonstrate that their electives will be beneficial both personally and professionally. Personal development may include but is not limited to: new experiences, expanding personal boundaries, community engagement, and international relationships. Professional development may include but is not limited to: educational knowledge, exposure to techniques/equipment, and cultural awareness.
The Foundation currently awards Travel Scholarships annually from a competitive field of applicants, with each successful applicant receiving a total of AU$1000 towards their educational elective. Among these, we are particularly pleased to be able to offer two special Scholarships including:
The Graduates of '64 Travel Scholarship, generously donated by the Adelaide Medical School Class of 1964.
The DREAMIN Foundation Travel Scholarship, generously donated by the DREAMIN Foundation and preferred for students undertaking placement in the Maranatha Health Service in Uganda.
Application period: 2024 Applications now closed.
